Paper Garments - Memory Box
2019 Laser cut paper, wood, sound elements, lighting 8'x8'x6' This installation was created to explore the experience of generational memory and the loss of it, following an experience in which a traumatic brain injury I had from a car accident caused memory loss, both short and long term . As I recovered, my grandmother's memory loss, caused by dementia, worsened rapidly. The sound design is by Priscilla Snow, who created original music using samples of my recorded voice.

Cut Paper and Illumination - Memory Box
2019 Laser cut paper, wood, sound elements, lighting 8'x8'x6' This installation was created to explore the experience of generational memory and the loss of it, following an experience in which a traumatic brain injury I had from a car accident caused memory loss, both short and long term . As I recovered, my grandmother's memory loss, caused by dementia, worsened rapidly. Photography by Destiny Jade Green The sound design is by Priscilla Snow, who created original music using samples of my recorded voice.

This project explores ideas about personal and generational memory, and the frailness of that thread.
